Rydel Saelethil. A rogue of Lepidstadt. He made his living gathering and or stealing information to whoever payed for it.

His parents were murdered by a cult called "The Whispering Way" His parents were looking into it cording to his father's journal and it got them killed. Not being able to find any information about this cult he was on the verge of giving up. 

 

One day Rydel received a contract from a professor in Ravengro a small town in the middle of nowhere. Normally he would have ignored it, except the professor was hiring him to look into the whispering way. His first real lead. He couldn't pass this up. Wasting no time, he packed the essentials and made his way to Ravengro.

He met some other people from out of town including an old friend Drake Foul Buster. Together they investigated the Whispering Way.

Their travels took them back to Lepidstadt and beyond. They found that the Cult was trying to revive an ancient litch called the Whispering Tyrant. They uncovered many mysteries and Rydel lost many allies in his pursuit to find answers.

Rydel Found an old temple of Desna in the shudder wood. Ryedel and his friends cleansed the area and restored Desna's power and as a result she brought them to her plane. After seeing the true Desna Rydel's eyes turned a bright shining blue and was granted the gift of Desna. After traveling to Caliphas his friends were all killed. He alone survived...
